'인문주의의 현대적 르네상스(The Contemporary Renaissance of Humanism)'를 선도하는 마르셀 반더스 스튜디오(Marcel Wanders Studio)는 기술 관료적인 디자인 세계에서 디자이너와 공예 작가, 사용자 모두가 환대받는 현실을 꿈꾼다. 산업주의의 냉랭함을 시, 판타지, 로맨스로 대체함으로써 동시대의 순간을 생생하게 묘사하는 디자인을 선보이고 있다. 마르셀 반더스는 1988년 아르테즈(Artez) 예술학교를 졸업한 뒤 1995년 첨단 기술 소재와 '수공예' 생산 방법을 결합한 매듭 의자(Knotted Chair)로 디자인계에 데뷔했다. 비앤비 이탈리아(B&B Italia), 모로소(Moroso), 바카라(Baccarat), 루이 비통(Louis Vuitton), 알레시(Alessi) 등 프리미엄 브랜드를 위한 1,700개 이상의 프로젝트를 작업했다. 독창적이고 에너지 넘치는 그의 작품 상당수는 인문주의적인 발상과 혁신적인 재료를 결합한 디자인으로 높이 평가받고 있다.

루이 비통 오브제 노마드(Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades)에서 소개한 다이아몬드 스크린(Diamond Screen, 2017)은 기하학적 가죽 모듈을 결합해 브랜드의 헤리티지를 반영한 룸 디바이더이다. 롱그 의자(Chaise Longue, 2015)는 가죽 스트랩으로 묶인 4개의 독립적인 모듈 가구로 편안하고 관능적인 인테리어를 선사한다.

프랑스 공방 르블론 델리엔(Leblon Delienne)과 협업해 수공예로 제작한 '원미닛 미키'와 '미니(2018~2019)'의 성공에 이어, 60cm 특별 버전을 론칭했다. 마르셀의 장난기 넘치는 원 미닛 델프트 블루(One Minute Delft Blue) 줄무늬는 미키와 미니에게 넘치는 생동감을 부여한다.

Following the success of the handcrafted One Minute Mickey and Minnie in life size scale (2018–2019) in cooperation with the French workshop Leblon Delienne, a special 60cm version of the legendary icons has been created, spreading their magic and happiness to new spaces and places.
